Meet the Extraordinary Minds Behind MCAH Manitoba

Ms. Cecilia Gutierrez Cajurao is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of MCAH-MB Ambassadors of Humanity Inc, a native of Iloilo City, Philippines. In Canada, she completed the CPA program and obtained her Chartered Professional Accountant license.

Previously, she has served the Board of Steinbach Arts Council in Steinbach, Manitoba. A nonprofit organization that promotes the welfare of arts in the community with their programs/classes like performing arts, visual arts, community classes, concerts, and many others.

At a very young age, she has witnessed and was inspired how her parents create a difference in the community. They partnered with different families and assisted them to build their ancestral homes and many others.

In particular, one of the issues in the heart of the poor communities in the Philippines. The Organization will create awareness in Steinbach and neighboring cities to fight for poverty. MCAH plans to start these projects: Housing assistance, education support, livelihood assistance and food packs for family's basic needs; most of all, scholarships for deserving students.

As a Co Founder, she will lead the Organization and work with a team of volunteers on Fundraising and awareness campaign.

Marianne S. Tejada, the co-founder, and the Treasurer/Program Coordinator of MCAH-MB Canada Ambassadors of Humanity Inc. is a native of Nueva Ecija, Philippines. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in accountancy from West Visayas University, Philippines. She has worked as an Administrative Officer in Philippine Carabao Center, a government agency, for almost 17 years.

While working there, she saw the needs of the farmers in the community. These farmers need tools and equipment for their agricultural businesses. She also witnesses the food program of a Fun Run held in 2018 whereas the proceeds of the said event were utilized for a feeding program.

She lost her father at an early age, and her mother inspired her to be resilient and compassionate in facing life's struggles. Helping people is in her heart. One of her dreams is to help less fortunate, deserving youth finish their studies so that they too can help their respective families out of poverty.

In Canada, she owns small business. She has been an Accounting Analyst/Projects at Hydro Ltd. for five years, is also a student at the CPA Western School of Business and an active member of FilCan-MB. She is a Board member of Kibawe, Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides support to Filipino Immigrants in Steinbach.
